Long Term Foster, Shyah
Shyah is a long term foster, and will stay with us for her lifetime.
If an ideal home environment and handler opportunity comes up for her in the future, we might consider her placement, outside of the rescue.
We will only consider placement with a well balanced pack of dogs and experienced handler, who's willing to train with us before adoption consideration.
Shyah was bred poorly by an irresponsible breeder, and then sold and passed around from home to home.
Her genetics, behavior and temperament, along with lack of training set her up for failure.
She is very fearful of everything but other dogs. When we first took her in, she was uninhabitable/untouchable due to her extreme fears.
With strangers, these behaviors sky rocket.
Her daily training, reminders of coping skills and her daily routine, keep her as balanced as possible. She’s one that needs this daily.
With her handler present, she can be handled with care at the vet, and function in public, with her specific handler providing her with her trained coping cues.
Shyah is a Belgian Malinois, with working line mentality, and not a family dog.
Shyah prefers the company of dogs over humans.
She absolutely loves, and lives, for being a part of a dog “pack”.
Shyah takes monthly medications and supplements. Please consider making a special donation, in honor of Shyah’s needs. She’s a sweet, delicate ball of nerves and playfulness rolled into one, and we just LOVE her!
